Grant Proposal — Rosenbruch World Wildlife Museum
A strategic funding proposal supporting environmental education through community-based programming.
During my grant writing class as a masters student, I developed a comprehensive funding proposal for the Rosenbruch World Wildlife Museum, an institution dedicated to wildlife conservation and education in St. Georege, Utah. The purpose of this project was to design a program that aligned with the museum’s mission while addressing a clear community need and presenting a compelling case for funding.
The proposal focused on expanding environmental education initiatives through structured programming, including curriculum development, hands-on learning materials, and educator support. I conducted research on the museum’s mission, audience, and existing offerings to ensure the proposal was both relevant and sustainable, while also aligning the project with funder priorities and measurable outcomes.
This deliverable included a full grant narrative, detailed budget, and supporting materials that clearly connected program goals to financial needs. Particular emphasis was placed on justifying expenses, demonstrating impact, and ensuring clarity and cohesion throughout the proposal—key components of effective grant writing.
Through this project, I strengthened my ability to translate ideas into actionable plans, communicate value to stakeholders, and write persuasively in a professional context. It also deepened my understanding of how cultural and educational institutions secure funding to support meaningful programming.
This work reflects my interest in the intersection of education, nonprofit work, and community engagement, and how strategic communication can be used to support organizations that promote learning
