Unfinished Charcoal Portait

Why are self portraits so intimidating?

For my second work with charcoal I decided to attempt a self portrait. I was interested in messing around with charcoal reduction and thought a face would be a good thing to try out the technique. I was pretty happy with how it was going until I got to this point of the portrait. The time to draw my actual face. I got too nervous and never finished.
