Marble Loaf Cake

Chocolate and vanilla marble loaf cake

An Easy but Impressive Treat

Not much of a story here. Just a delicious treat. It’s beautiful, easy, not too sweet, and very addicting. My favorite thing to do is wrap individual slices and freeze them. Then heat them up for 30 seconds in the microwave when you want a sweet treat.

Cake

  • 1 ¾ cup flour

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 cup and 2 Tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 3 eggs

  • ¾ cup and 1 Tbsp butter

  • ¾ cup cream cheese

  • Mix batter and split in half. To half of the batter add:

  • ¼ cup cocoa powder

  • 3 Tbsp milk

  • Scoop vanilla batter into loaf pan, leaving gaps. Fill gaps with chocolate batter. Repeat in layers alternating batters.

  • Bake for 30 minutes at 350. Rotate pan and cook for 30 more minutes.

Chocolate Ganache

  • 4 oz chopped chocolate

  • ¾ cup heavy cream

  • Pour almost boiling cream over chocolate. Wait one minute then stir til smooth. Wait til thick then pour over cooled cake.
