Presenting at the Utah Conference of Undergraduate Research

An academic conference presentation on how gender, societal expectations, and cultural context have shaped the recognition and legacy of women artists

This project marked a milestone in my academic journey as it was the first conference I ever presented at. Held at Southern Utah University, the Utah Conference of Undergraduate Research gave me a platform to share my thesis on Mary Cassatt and Eva Gonzalès and the gendered dimensions of recognition in Impressionism. Presenting in a formal academic setting allowed me to engage with a diverse audience, answer insightful questions, and refine my argument in real time. It was an invaluable experience that deepened my confidence in sharing my research and helped me see the power of academic dialogue.

This project reflects my passion for higher education and my commitment to participating in academic communities where I can grow, contribute, and advocate for the importance of research and equity in the arts.
