Final Friday Art Walks

Amanda Lowry Wiberg looking at art in a gallery

Over the summer, I led the development and execution of the Final Friday Art Box series at the Southern Utah Museum of Art—a monthly program combining live music, refreshments, and curated access to works from the museum’s permanent collection.

Each month, I selected and connected four to five artworks not currently on display, building a cohesive narrative or theme to guide the experience. I then designed a corresponding hands-on art activity that allowed visitors to engage more deeply with the selected works through making.

This role required both curatorial thinking and program design—bridging interpretation and interaction to create an experience that felt both thoughtful and approachable.

The result was a series that encouraged visitors to slow down, look closely, and connect with the collection in a more personal and creative way.

This project reflects my ability to combine curatorial storytelling with interactive programming to create meaningful, engaging arts experiences.
